Ideas for dating on budget

Ideas for dating on budget

Thanks to our friends at the big banks we are all having to tighten our belts, so much so that some of us are putting off dating. There is a common misconception that dates have to be lavish, expensive and out of the house. Below we have a few ideas that will cost next to nothing but still class as a date. Take these as serving suggestions and tweak them as you see fit.

Cook dinner

Rather than going out and having dinner why not cook something at home? This might sound boring but you could spice it up by cooking together, or if your other half always cooks then maybe you can get the old cook book out and prepare something for them instead. Have a little bit of light music on in the background and converse whilst cooking. Use cooking as an excuse to spend some time together without distractions.

Picnic

Picnics are always romantic and they don’t have t be expensive! Pick a beach, a park or a nature reserve where you can go with a basket of home prepared food and eat. Hopefully there won’t be many distractions and the both of you can spend some quality time together.

Stargaze

This is one of my favourites, after you have had a meal why not go outside into the garden and do some star gazing; it is incredibly romantic. If it is chilly outside then grab a blanket and snuggle up together, this always works a treat!

Put your dancing shoes on

Clear your living room floor, put on your favourite tunes and do some dancing. It’s physical, it’s fun and it’s free! Dancing is a good way to touch and feel each other; it is also very romantic and sexual.
Maybe follow the dancing up with a nice massage......
